pharmaceutical scientist??

There's two events held on monday and tues for my course..
Monday is the Cheese and wine night where some companies directors, ex students, lecturers were invited and socialise with the students...
The aim was to let the students know more about their future path....
It's a great opportunity to ask Q, socialise and meet this major people in this field.
The finger food on that night was quite nice...and of course I had a glass of red wine too!
There are some who work in formulation of cosmetic, some for paint, some medicine and so on......
I'm interested in the cosmetic, perfume and FOOD..=) Happy that I gained some idea on the things i can do with the things im studying..

On tuesday, it was the visit to an industry called 'Ego Pharmaceutical', this company basically make skin products and match with my interest...
It's a huge company that produce many products...
we were given a brief talk about the historyof the company, their international business, their organisation and so on....
It's actually a family business, the speaker who is the managing director, his father is a chemist, mother a nurse and the grandfather who is the founder is a dermatologist.. what a good combination.,haha...

Later, we tour around the company,
visited the labs for testing, formulating.....
visited the manufacturing and packinging place...
visited the warehouse where all the stocks kept to be shipped out and so on....

It's very interesting looking at the product like moisturiser to be made and filled into tubes and then package into boxes... but do i like to work in lab testing the products or doing research for new products??? I'm still unsure...I dont want my everyday life dealing with the chemicals, everyday putting on the gloves and safety glasses, and everyday holding testtubes, burettes, piptettes....
Even for the practicals I'm having now..i find it so troublesome that we need to rinse the tube 3times, fill this..then wipe...then clean...then repeat..then calculate the errors..tabulate datasss...
I would love to make new alternative things that benefits society...but think is always easier till actual work....haha...
Hope I'm not in the wrong path...

Well, at the end of the tour, each of us get a show bag and served with tea and my fav TImTams...haha...get lots of their products such as conditoner, shampoo, sunscreen, antiseptic cream..importantly, they are not in small little sample size, but its the actual size in the market..
Besides those they also manufacture cleansers, moisturiser, baby lotion, tanning lotion, anti ageingstuff and so so many more....all that deal with skin!
another good and beneficial trip that let me have an idea on my possible working environment in future.

I'm going to a camp tomorrow at Mornington! ot as excited compared towhen i sign up..hope it will be fun! =)
